My teaching style

Every student is unique, so I tailor my teaching to fit individual learning styles. My lessons typically begin with a review to address any misunderstandings, followed by a focused exploration of new concepts. I emphasize the importance of application, especially through exam questions, which help students become familiar with what to expect in exams. I provide worked examples to solidify understanding. As a firm supporter of spaced repetition, I found that when combined with exam questions, the student not only increases in confidence but there is also a clear improvement in grades.
To ensure retention, we end each session with a quick quiz or a discussion of any questions. Having done GCSE’s and A-Levels myself, I know how daunting and stressful exam season can be so I provide all my students with various tips and revision techniques that helped me achieve my targets. My goal is to help students not just improve their grades, but also gain confidence to tackle any challenge they encounter.
