About Me
Hi,
I am a medical student at Cardiff University, having recently gone through the application process I am fully aware of the challenges applicants may face and want to help students like yourselves reach their dream career. I was given 4/4 interviews and received offers from Manchester, Nottingham, Cardiff and Liverpool. I also scored in the first decile for UCAT and band 1 SJT. Studying at Cardiff has given me the opportunity to understand the qualities needed to successfully apply to medical/dental school. I have straight A* and As at A-Level and GCSE and wide subject knowledge. I am able to balance medical school, kickboxing and swim society and starting next year widening access to medicine society. I have a vast understanding of the qualities needed to become a medic and am up to date on my subject knowledge to provide helpful and fulfilling sessions. I have previously worked with students to mentor them through school towards their goal of medicine and have been very successful.
My teaching style
I like to be very hands-on with teaching and provide quick and supportive feedback to help students improve. My teaching style is question-based and I will provide students with helpful explanations before and after completing a problem. I pride myself on a quick turnaround time and efficiency and am very responsive if students have questions between sessions through email.
My past experience
I have mentored students throughout secondary school in STEM subjects as well as in UCAT and medicine personal statements.
