8About Me
I am a first year Medical Student at the University of Cambridge. At A-levels, I completed Maths (A*), Biology (A*), Chemistry (A) and Music (A*). At GCSEs I achieved all 9s at GCSE, including Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Literature, English Language, Music, French, Geography and Religious Studies. I provide tutoring in GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry, tailored to each student, ensuring that lessons are designed around their learning style and subject aims. I tutor GCSE Maths with Explore Learning, and tutor GCSE Science privately.
I also mentored 6 students on the myUCAT interview programme for Medical School, where I provided interview sessions and mock Cambridge interviews, helping them through the interview process. I also provide sessions focused on medicine admissions, including mock Cambridge Medicine interviews.
My teaching style
As each student is an individual, with different learning styles and aims, my teaching style generally varies from student to student, however common teaching aspects include using a whiteboard as a visual medium for both myself and the student to interact with, ensuring that they can see what I am writing, and I can see how they would go about dealing with a question, for example a calculation question. In lessons I always try to have a mixture of activities – including reviewing past topics to jog the student’s memory, and going over new content.
