About Me
Hi, I’m Safa and I’m a 2nd year medical student at Newcastle university. I thoroughly enjoy my course and regardless of that course you decide to study in the future, I am more than happy to help . However, I know how difficult it can be when applying to medical school. I myself used medic mind tutoring for UCAT help and A -level physics and having been in the same position as others, I’m the perfect person to ask for tip and tricks, whether it be UCAT, interviews or A levels. Having tutored friends in GCSE and A-level science, I am able to explain more difficult concepts in a variety of ways depending on how you learn. I am a friendly and approachable person who students can come to with any questions and I will do my best to help and find an easy yet effective way to tackle those types of questions.
My teaching style
My teaching style revolves around what the person I’m tutoring is struggling on the most and adapting to that. Majority of the time, I explain the topic using high yield information and diagrams whilst offering any useful tips. Following this, I feel as though exam question practice is key to achieving high grades so letting the student have an attempt and then explaining and working through a question together is effective. I also encourage students to do exam questions in their own time too and send me any questions so that I can find a helpful way to explain and complete the question.
My Proudest Achievements
Getting into medical school and making it this far in my course is one of my achievements and even though it may seem small, the hard work has paid off.
