About Me
Hi! I am an Oxford graduate oriented towards research in Clinical Neurosciences and Psychology. I conducted my BSc at the University of Glasgow with a year abroad at the University of California, Los Angeles. Following this, I spent a year at the University of Oxford studying for an MSc in Clinical and Therapeutic Neuroscience.
I have tutored subjects ranging from Biology, Psychology and Chemistry at International Baccalaureate level to English as a second language. I teach through a mixture of interactive tasks, informal quizzes and receptive feedback on students’ queries and questions. My teaching style is best suited to someone looking for an extra bit of guidance and a helping hand in their classes and University applications.
My personal research is focused on mental health interventions, treatments and neuroimaging, thus I am able to work with a spectrum of students with diverse backgrounds.
My teaching style
My teaching style combines a structured review of current content of interest with interactive discussion, informal quizzes and activities. I offer the student lots of time to ask questions and this helps me tailor the lesson towards their unique needs.
My past experience
I have tutored throughout my undergraduate degree, most extensively during the COVID-19 pandemic, where many students felt they were falling behind. My students have gone on to achieve outstanding results in the GCSE and IB coursework and get admitted to competitive grammar schools.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is presenting at the Glasgow interdisciplinary conference my thesis work, which focused on differences in male and female pain and its treatment. Furthermore, I am extremely proud of the work I have carried out in Oxford and the five pupils I have coached to achieve admission into the MSc program in the past two years.
