About Me

I a from Malaysia and currently studying law in the UK at King’s College London. I have consistently excelled at academics while balancing multiple extracurricular activities and leadership responsibilities. Based on my work experience as a legal intern and academic tutor, I have great written and verbal communication skills. I am passionate about imparting knowledge and complex concepts in a digestible manners. As a student myself, I understand the different problems and thinking styles of students which inform me on the ideal way to tailor my teaching style to convey information in effective ways. Outside academics, I enjoy running and play the violin. I also enjoy learning new languages such as Korean through watching Korean dramas. During my internship at a law firm, translating documents between English, Chinese and Malay enhanced my linguistic flexibility. I am confident in my multilingualism which will propel me to communicate with an international group of students.

My teaching style

Straightforward, solution-focused, repetition. I encourage students to independent identity topics of weakness and communicate their areas of doubt. I then focus on problem-solving by teaching students a structured method to navigate problems before reaching the correct answer, I also encourage analytical and creative thinking as I believe there are multiple ways to reach the same destination.

My past experience

During my gap year, I worked as an academic tutor teaching Science, Mathematics, English and Chinese to primary and secondary school students.

My Proudest Achievements

A-level results. I joined my British sixth-form college as a January intake having missed one semester of lessons. This presented a huge challenge for me as I had to juggle heavy contents within four months before taking the AS level examinations. I worked extra hours to study to compensate for missed lessons and eventually achieved great results, especially in A-Level english Language and Literature, where I scored the highest grade in my cohort.

I teach

My Results and Achievements
