To prioritise the convenience of our international students residing abroad, we place significant emphasis on delivering seamless arrangements. With a majority (70%) of our student body falling into this category, we offer convenient pick-up services from Heathrow airport to your designated accommodation. Upon arrival, a dedicated member of the Study Mind team will warmly welcome and provide assistance. Moreover, if needed, we can also facilitate transportation back to your departure terminal, ensuring a stress-free experience throughout your journey.

We recommend this course to anyone aged 16-25. This means any child in Year 11 or above or any graduate entry applicant.

Upon reserving your spot for the work experience week, please note that it becomes non-refundable due to the meticulous planning involved, such as accommodation arrangements, room bookings, and logistical considerations. To guarantee your secured spot without any potential loss, you have the option to make a non-refundable deposit of £500. The remaining payment will be due prior to the start of the course, enabling you to complete the payment process before the programme commences.

The safety of your child is of the highest importance to us during our Technology Work Experience week. Our dedicated Study Mind Safeguarding team will provide constant care and supervision throughout any necessary travel. You can rest assured knowing that your child will be accompanied at all times during the entire journey, ensuring their well-being and security.

During the course, you will be provided with comfortable individual rooms at UCL Accommodation, which includes breakfast and dinner. Your stay will begin on the Sunday night prior to the course start date and you will check out on Friday, spanning a total of 5 nights. Rest assured, the premises are under 24/7 surveillance for your security, and our Study Mind staff members, trained in first aid and safeguarding, will be readily available to offer assistance whenever needed. Additionally, we can arrange airport pick-up services to further enhance your convenience.

Students coming to the UK for the Work Experience will need a Standard Visitor visa- https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor

The Standard Visitor visa can only be applied for by parents/guardians and costs £100. They must apply through the UK Gov website only, You can name our course and Study Mind as the guardians of under 18s, and provide then the course information and booking confirmation when applying for the visa.

We recommend booking flights first before applying for the visa, as the visa needs proof of a return flight (the course end date might be enough, but might result in rejection).

During the programme, your child will benefit from the outstanding support of our extensively trained Study Mind staff. The summer school programme is scheduled for five days, starting at 9 am and finishing around 3:30 pm each day. In advance, you will receive a detailed timetable outlining the specific timings for each session, ensuring proper planning. If you opt to stay at UCL Halls, we have planned a range of enjoyable evening activities, including movie nights, bowling, and other engaging options. We understamd the financial difficulties caused by the current economic climate and we are committed to providing flexibility through interest-free installment plans for 3, 6, and 12 months. While it is not compulsory to book accommodation with us, we offer the flexibility for you to commute or make independent arrangements if needed.
