My name is Shourya Sharma and I am a 3rd year medical student at Newcastle University. I am an international student from Malaysia and ethnically I am Indian. I am very excited to be a part of the Medic Mind team and have the opportunity to help students in their medical school application process. I can understand that the application process can be extremely difficult and daunting, however upon reflecting on the process, reading many resources and guides now upon completing 2 years of medical school I believe I have learnt about many tips and tricks of how to ace your interviews, how to streamline your application process and how to make into your dream medical schools! I believe I am a friendly, helpful and dedicated indvidual who will be there to support you guys in the required steps for medical school and will make personalised sessions for your teaching sessions!

As an experienced science tutor for GCSE and A-Level, I bring a proven track record of exceptional results and a deep understanding of what students need to succeed. Having personally navigated the 11 Plus, GCSEs and A-levels and supported students through it, I understand the process and the pressure that these exams can bring. I know how to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and support a student not only through their learning but also stress they may feel in the build-up to these exams. My lessons are tailored to each individual, building confidence and inspiring curiosity, whether tackling tricky exam questions or mastering scientific principles. I hold a BS (Honours) in Special Education and have worked in Autism Centers in Pakistan, where I supported children with diverse learning and behavioral needs. In the UK, I have continued to build my experience by working as a Teaching Assistant in a Special School in London, where I have provided tailored support to students with autism and other special educational needs.

To further enhance my skills, I completed Level 2 in Positive Behavior Management and a Safeguarding Course, both of which have strengthened my ability to support vulnerable individuals safely and effectively. I also hold a Master’s degree in Global Business Management from London Metropolitan University, which has helped me develop strong communication and organizational skills.

Dr Naila is a dedicated and results-driven researcher with a PhD (thesis submitted) in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow and over seven years of experience in research, teaching, and academic mentoring. Her core expertise lies in the domain of cybersecurity, with particular emphasis on data privacy, threat modeling, expert systems, logical reasoning, and artificial intelligence. She has successfully led and contributed to innovative projects aimed at advancing cutting-edge technologies to protect sensitive data in autonomous and complex systems. Known for her exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, Naila thrives in collaborative environments and excels in fostering teamwork and communication. Her research interests extend to data protection regulations, complex systems modeling, and human-computer interaction, with a keen focus on bridging theoretical concepts with real-world applications to address pressing challenges in technology and security.

Hello, my name is Areeba Salman and I am currently completing my MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of Nottingham, having previously graduated with a BSc in Biotechnology. Alongside my academic journey, I have several years of tutoring experience, teaching Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English to students from KS1 through to A-levels, both in the classroom and online. I also have SEND teaching experience, which has taught me how to adapt my methods to meet different learning needs and support students in building confidence as well as knowledge.

Hi, I’m Rajwinder Kaur! I love helping students grow in English, Maths, and Science. I’ve completed MSc degrees in Biotechnology and Biochemistry, and while I’ve done lab research, I enjoy making tricky concepts clear, accessible, and even fun to learn. I am passionate about helping students understand topics deeply, develop confidence, and enjoy the learning process.

I’ve taught students from KS1 to GCSE, including SEND learners and those working on Functional Skills. My lessons are personalised, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs, helping them build confidence, improve grades, and feel proud of their progress.
