Dr Michael was a Honorary Research Fellow of the Department of Economics at the Kingston University. He was also an Associate Professor of Finance at the Richmond American University London and Associate Lecturer of Economics and Statistics at the Open University. Dr Michael specializes in applied econometrics, quantitative finance and labour economics. He published books in economics and statistics, and academic articles in international journal. He was invited by the International University of Applied Sciences to develop a series of economics distance learning modules.

I currently offer tutoring for Business Studies, Economics, English, and 11+ Please find the relevant information below for my background in each subject.

Business & Economics – I have completed the BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in Business to D*D*D* (A*A*A*) standard. I am an approachable and friendly tutor who has great knowledge and skills relating to Business Studies. I am available to help GCSE, A Level and BTEC students with their Business courses, ranging from providing knowledge, all the way to helping explain assignments and developing the skills needed for business courses. I have also been teaching GCSE and A Level Economics students in preparation for their exams too starting this academic year.

English – I achieved Grade 7 in both GCSE English Language and English Literature so have an incredibly good knowledge of the curriculum. This has proven extremely useful when teaching GCSE and KS3 students as they have been able to gain the skills required for this next step up to GCSE level. I have also been tutoring a cohort of KS2 students (years 3-6) therefore I am also confident to tutor Primary School aged students as well, and have a wide variety of fun and engaging resources to help them become more confident in the earlier learning stages.

Eleven Plus – I am an experienced tutor of the 11+ curriculum, and am currently supporting a small cohort of students who are preparing to sit this over the next academic year. I have a bank of resources that I use to get students feeling more confident about the topics covered in both GL and CEM exams.

As a result of my continued work successfully supporting primary-aged students to complete their 11+ exams (which revolve heavily around maths skills and problem solving), I have been able to expand my resources and therefore have recently opened maths sessions up to all Primary students who need extra support.

I am an assistant professor teaching finance at an international University for more than 5 years and more than 2500 hours of online tutoring. I completed my MSc and Ph.D in finance and business at Manchester Metropolitan University and I am a UK chartered management accountant (CGMA). In addition, I have 12 years experience including 6 years in the UK as a management accountant and 3 years as an auditor at PWC (Big 4).

In addition to that, I am currently teaching multiple CIMA paper online and my students are very satisfied with my teaching style.

I am an MBA finance Graduate from Anglia Ruskin University with a distinction in international financial markets. I also hold a diploma in Investment advice from the Chartered Institute for securities and investment. This helped me become a level 4 RDR compliant finance professional. I’m currently working in the wealth management industry in the UK.

Alongside that, I have been a passionate student of finance and have been investing since the age of 17. My knowledge and exposure in the field also makes me an investor managing a private portfolio diversified across different countries and sectors. My goal in the future is to become financially independent at a young age and impart the knowledge I gain everyday from my industry to the students who need it and are looking forward to build a career in the field of finance.
