Hello! I’m Lauren and I have just graduated from the University of Oxford in Modern Languages (Spanish and Russian). This is my second year working with Study Mind, where last year I successfully helped several students gain admission into Oxford University. Outside of academia, I like to stay active, playing rugby for Oxford’s first team. I enjoy travelling and immersing myself in other cultures, which I did a lot of on my year abroad: I have lived and worked in Russia, Colombia, Cuba, Spain, Hungary, and Kazakhstan! Living in foreign countries (often on my own) has made me an outgoing, enthusiastic, and proactive person. It was a very different experience to living on the farm I grew up on in coastal Wales!
I’ve had such a positive experience studying and living in Oxford, and I am excited to share what I have learned with others who are aspiring to study here too. I am happy to give advice on personal statements, interviews, or admissions tests, as well as tutoring GCSEs and A-Levels in a variety of subjects.

I am a recent Oxford graduate who has attained 10 A*s at GCSE and A*A*A*A at A Level. I have also recently completed the PGDL. I am passionate about helping other students achieve their full potential and approach exams with confidence. I have extensive experience in tutoring students across various age groups and specifications. For example, as a team leader for the Queen’s Translation Exchange at Oxford, I was responsible for developing creative translation resources in Spanish, before delivering workshops to schools to inspire students to pursue languages at university. I was also part of the Access Team at Jesus College Oxford where I designed a programme for potential applicants to assist with the application process at top universities. I aim to tailor each session to the individual with a focus on exam preparation for specific specifications, interviews featuring realistic questions, and other tips based on my own experiences.
