Hi! I’m Theo, a recent 2025 graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge, reading MML and AMES (Arabic and French). I’m a native French speaker, and I’ll be continuing at Cambridge next year with an MPhil in Modern and Medieval Languages, focusing on Francophone and Arabic thought.

Before university, I was a Major Academic Scholar at Merchant Taylors’ School, where I achieved D1 (A*) in French and Spanish, D2 (A*) in History, and an A* in my Extended Project Qualification. Since then, I’ve studied across the Francophone and Arab worlds, including terms at HEC Paris, the Sorbonne, and the University of Tunis, exploring politics, literature and law through both French and Arabic.

At Cambridge, I have consistently achieved high First-class marks in language and literature papers, including the top university-wide result in the final-year French oral examination. Outside of academics, I was a Choral Scholar at Trinity and helped lead the Trinity College Politics Society, where I hosted high-profile speakers such as Matt Hancock and Baroness Morgan—developing strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring students in public-speaking and interview contexts.

I’ve tutored students in French, Spanish, History and Politics since 2022 and have helped prepare Oxbridge candidates for MML and AMES—7 of my 8 tutees have received conditional offers. I specialise in breaking down complex literary and historical material, building student confidence, and helping ambitious pupils meet their academic goals.

I look forward to helping you succeed!

I've been taking keyboard lessons with Study Mind, and it's been an incredible experience. What I enjoy the most about these lessons is the systematic approach to learning. Each lesson is carefully structured, covering theory, technique, and practice. I particularly appreciate the emphasis on finger exercises. My keyboard tutor has helped me build strength and dexterity, which has significantly improved my playing.

My keyboard teacher goes beyond just teaching me how to play. I love how they incorporate music theory into the lessons. Learning about scales, chords, and musical notation has deepened my understanding of music and enhanced my playing. The interactive discussions on how different musical elements come together in a piece have been eye-opening. These lessons have not only made me a better keyboard player but also a more knowledgeable musician.

My keyboard tutor tailors each session to my skill level and musical interests. Whether you're a beginner learning your first chords or an intermediate player aiming to refine your technique, Study Mind has you covered. I've enjoyed exploring various genres of music, from classical to contemporary, which keeps the lessons fresh and engaging.

As someone who aspires to perform, I appreciate the performance-focused approach from my keyboard teacher. They dedicate time to prepare me for playing in front of others, addressing stage fright and nerves. Their constructive feedback during practice sessions has been invaluable. I feel more confident and ready to showcase my skills.
