Hi! I’m Rosie, a recent graduate in Human Sciences at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have accumulated over 500 hours’ experience spanning a wide range of subjects and ages. I specialise in one-to-one tuition in GCSE and A level maths and biology and Oxbridge application support for Human Sciences and related fields, such as Biology or Natural Sciences). I am originally from London, but currently living in Baltimore while pursuing a master’s in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. I’m interested in all things public health, and hope to work in the public sector after finishing my master’s.

I love tutoring as it is an opportunity to help students build their confidence and start to enjoy a subject, sometimes for the first time. I know all too well how stressful public exams in particular can be, so I aim to ease some of that anxiety by providing 1:1 tailored support and passing on advice from my own experiences. Having gone through university applications myself, I can also help students prepare for admissions statements, tests, and interviews.

Aside of academics, I enjoy wild swimming, jogging, and playing tennis. I also play clarinet in an orchestra and saxophone in a (very mediocre) band. I look forward to hearing from you!

I’m driven to pursue a career in medicine because it allows me to make a real, meaningful difference in people’s lives. The opportunity to help and heal others, while continually learning, inspires me. I have always been fascinated by the human body and how its intricate systems work in harmony to sustain life.

In my spare time, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym and swimming. I also have a creative side—I love embroidery and sewing, which offer a relaxing balance to my studies. Dr Naila is a dedicated and results-driven researcher with a PhD (thesis submitted) in Computer Science from the University of Glasgow and over seven years of experience in research, teaching, and academic mentoring. Her core expertise lies in the domain of cybersecurity, with particular emphasis on data privacy, threat modeling, expert systems, logical reasoning, and artificial intelligence. She has successfully led and contributed to innovative projects aimed at advancing cutting-edge technologies to protect sensitive data in autonomous and complex systems. Known for her exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, Naila thrives in collaborative environments and excels in fostering teamwork and communication.
