Hello! My name is Jumaila, and I am currently a first-year medical student. Prior to this, I earned a BSc in Biomedical Science with a focus on Physiology and Pharmacology, followed by a Master’s in Physician Associate Studies from St George’s University of London. I’m driven to pursue a career in medicine because it allows me to make a real, meaningful difference in people’s lives. The opportunity to help and heal others, while continually learning, inspires me. I have always been fascinated by the human body and how its intricate systems work in harmony to sustain life.
In my spare time, I enjoy staying active by going to the gym and swimming. I also have a creative side—I love embroidery and sewing, which offer a relaxing balance to my studies. My passion for both science and creativity keeps me motivated and fulfilled, as I strive toward my goal of becoming a compassionate and skilled healthcare professional.
I graduated from Human Sciences at the University of Oxford in 2022. I applied and studied at St Hugh’s College, and achieved 74.3 in my TSA. Since then I have completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Healthcare Leadership whilst working for 2 years on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. In my first year I worked as a project manager in mental health crisis care, and in my second year as a service manager for community rehabilitation. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Health and International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). I have tutored in 11+ since 2016, having sat the exam myself and studied in grammar schools in Chelmsford. 11+ and Oxbridge admissions are my favourite subjects to teach, please do get in touch if I can be of any help! I am able to support with TSA, personal statements and interviews for Human Sciences.
Hi! I’m Rosie, a recent graduate in Human Sciences at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over 5 years and have accumulated over 500 hours’ experience spanning a wide range of subjects and ages. I specialise in one-to-one tuition in GCSE and A level maths and biology and Oxbridge application support for Human Sciences and related fields, such as Biology or Natural Sciences). I am originally from London, but currently living in Baltimore while pursuing a master’s in Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University. I’m interested in all things public health, and hope to work in the public sector after finishing my master’s.
I love tutoring as it is an opportunity to help students build their confidence and start to enjoy a subject, sometimes for the first time. I know all too well how stressful public exams in particular can be, so I aim to ease some of that anxiety by providing 1:1 tailored support and passing on advice from my own experiences. Having gone through university applications myself, I can also help students prepare for admissions statements, tests, and interviews.
Aside of academics, I enjoy wild swimming, jogging, and playing tennis. I also play clarinet in an orchestra and saxophone in a (very mediocre) band. I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi everyone! I’m Vinu and I am currently reading Medicine at the University of Cambridge. Prior to Cambridge, I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths at A-Level achieving three A stars and an A. I am a dedicated mentor with a love of helping others to succeed in their studies. I have 4+ years of tuition experience from GCSE, to A-Level and University/ Medicine Admissions. When it comes to tuition I appreciate the needs of each and every student are unique. I pride myself on my ability to tailor my approach to the level of the student I am working with, whether they are seeking a Level 9 in GCSE Science or an Oxbridge Medicine offer. I work at the pace of the student to ensure that they understand the content on a conceptual level, yet they are consistently being pushed to achieve the best outcome they possibly can in their studies. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to achieve your own academic goals, whatever they may be! I also tutor HSPS admissions, including the interview process and editing your personal statements.
Hello 🙂 My name is Dr Howells, I have achieved several university degrees, and hold a PhD in Neurophysiology. I was an Associate Professor at the University of Cape Town, and now hold an Honorary Professorship with my alma mater, with my return to the UK. I returned to the UK to support an ageing parent, and this geographical change also permitted me to move out of academia into consulting, which I enjoy. But I have missed teaching, supporting student progress, and seeing them achieve their academic goals! This led me to serving as a supply teacher for a local secondary school, which I do enjoy, and has led me to taking up online tutoring roles.
I have always loved nature in all of its forms and always remain curious. This drove my undergraduate degree towards human physiology and psychology, which I completed through a remote university. My first degree led to opening the floodgates of wanting to seek more, and went on to complete a BSc(Med)Hons degree in Physiology, then registered for an MSc which was upgraded due to progress made, and completed my PhD. My PhD led to the production of 5 peer-reviewed publications. I then went on to complete 4 years postdoctoral research and climbed the academic ranks to Associate Professor.
As newly qualified pharmacist, I am deeply committed to helping pre-registration trainee pharmacists achieve their goal of becoming fully qualified professionals. I understand that the journey to passing the GPhC registration exam is both challenging and demanding, which is why I offer specialised tutoring that covers all the critical areas you need to succeed: clinical and over-the-counter knowledge, pharmacy law, and mathematical calculations.
What sets my tutoring apart is my holistic and tailored approach. I bring a wealth of knowledge and firsthand experience to my sessions, ensuring that my students not only learn but truly understand the material. Having successfully passed the GPhC exam myself, I know the level of preparation it requires and the pressure you may feel. But with the right guidance and support, I believe every trainee pharmacist can excel.
One of the key elements of my tutoring is the use of detailed, well-structured PowerPoint presentations. These are not just any slides—they are meticulously crafted, based on the specific content outlined by the GPhC. Each PowerPoint is tailored to cover the various topics with precision, focusing on high, medium and low weighted areas that are most likely to be tested. For example, my PowerPoints on cardiovascular content dive deep into this critical area, ensuring you have a strong grasp on one of the most significant components of the exam as well as the things seen in clinical practice. These presentations are designed to be clear, comprehensive, and easy to follow, helping you to retain and recall essential information when it matters most.
In addition to the comprehensive content review, I emphasise the importance of practice under exam-like conditions. To this end, I incorporate recent past papers into our tutoring sessions. These past papers are an invaluable resource, allowing you to apply what you’ve learned and familiarise yourself with the format and style of questions you’ll encounter in the exam. But I don’t stop there—I understand that time management is a crucial aspect of exam success. Therefore, I create a simulated exam environment where you can practice these questions under timed conditions. This not only helps you gauge your understanding and progress but also builds your confidence and ability to perform under pressure. My goal is to ensure that when you sit down for the actual exam, you do so with the utmost preparedness and self-assurance.
Beyond just covering the material, I am also committed to helping you develop effective study strategies and exam techniques. Through my experience, I’ve learned that success in the GPhC exam is not only about knowing the content but also about how you approach the exam itself. I will work with you to identify your strengths and areas for improvement, and together we will develop a personalised study plan that maximizes your learning and retention. Whether it’s refining your calculation skills, understanding complex clinical scenarios, or mastering the intricacies of pharmacy law, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
My journey to becoming a pharmacist has been marked by several significant achievements, which I believe reflect my dedication and expertise in the field. After passing my own pre-registration exam, I was offered clinical pharmacist positions at four different NHS Trusts, a testament to the knowledge and skills I bring to my work. As a clinical Pharmacist, I continue to apply my expertise in a clinical setting, ensuring that I remain at the forefront of current practices and developments in pharmacy.
In addition to my clinical achievements, I have also made significant academic contributions. I graduated with First Class Honours in my Master of Pharmacy degree.
When you choose me as your tutor, you are not just getting someone who knows the material; you are getting a mentor who is genuinely invested in your success. I understand the stakes of the GPhC exam and the impact it has on your future career, and I am here to provide the support, guidance, and expertise you need to achieve your goals. My teaching style is approachable and student-centered, focusing on creating a positive and engaging learning environment where you can thrive.
To all prospective students and their parents, I want to assure you that my tutoring is not a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual, ensuring that every student I work with receives the personalized attention and support they need to succeed. I am passionate about helping future pharmacists build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to pass the GPhC exam and embark on successful careers in pharmacy.
Let’s work together to turn your ambitions into reality. With my expertise and your dedication, I am confident we can achieve success. Choose me as your tutor, and let’s take the first step toward your bright future in pharmacy.

Hi I’m AJ, a Foundation Year 3 doctor with a love for teaching!
I am currently working part-time in the NHS as a locum doctor, anticipating starting GP training this upcoming August.
I live and work in the London area, always looking to spread scientific knowledge and advice through teaching medical & work experience students.
In 2021, myself and a colleague held an online teaching series over 8 weeks, with pre and post teaching questionnaires to try create the most effective e-teaching programme. This helped students gain access to regular, interactive teaching during a time where it was less available. The exam results and feedback were full of positive reflections and we felt very rewarded to provide support during a time of social distancing and reduced face to face learning opportunities.
I am currently a student on the Graduate Entry Medicine course at King’s College London, based in Portsmouth. I was previously employed at a Fortune 100 company as a Compliance Analyst, having graduated from UCL with a Human Sciences BSc. Travelling is a passion of mine and I try to visit at least a few new countries every year. I have travelled through almost all of Latin America and have been to over 40 countries now. My love for sport extends to rugby, football, athletics, martial arts and powerlifting. I am currently a Muay Thai fighter and have played rugby, powerlifted and competed in high jump all to a high level. Politics and activism are also incredibly interesting to me: I wrote a successful petition to my former school requesting that they change the curriculum to introduce a greater representation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic people, including the creation of an anti-racist culture within the school, amongst other issues.
