Hi. My name is Reza I am currently a final year medical student at the University of Glasgow. I remember how daunting and struggling it was the first time I was beginning to apply for medical school. From A-levels, Interviews, UCAT and personal statements there were a lot of things I had no idea about. This sense of feeling ‘lost’ is the primary reason I took on this role at medic mind. I genuinely want to teach and more importantly, fix aspiring students’ mistakes. I don’t want them to make the same ones I made and learned from during my time applying to university. Through my experiences, I want to guide young people to help get into medical school. I also was a former medic mind tutee myself so I am familiar with the system and how to approach students. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and cycling. Recently though, I have picked up the hobby of cooking.
My name is Eloise Hayward, and I am an experienced tutor with over six years of teaching experience across Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Science, and Biomedical Science. I provide tailored tuition for students from KS1 through to University level, specialising in GCSE and A-Level preparation.
My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and highly adaptable*. I focus on understanding each student’s unique learning style, enabling me to create structured, engaging lessons that build confidence and deliver lasting academic progress. I believe in fostering not only subject knowledge but also problem-solving skills and independent thinking.
Over the past six years, I have tutored both in person and online, helping students achieve strong exam results and, more importantly, a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.
Alongside tutoring, I have a strong academic and athletic background. My research paper on the effects of the menstrual cycle on athlete was published during my Biomedical Science studies — an achievement that reflects my analytical skills and dedication to evidence-based learning. In addition, I am proud to represent Great Britain Rugby 7s, an experience that has instilled in me the values of discipline, focus, and perseverance, which I bring into my teaching practice.
I am passionate about helping students realise their full potential and equipping them with the confidence and tools to succeed academically and beyond.
Hi there! My name is Josh, and I am currently in my third year of medical school at the University of Exeter. I have absolutely loved the course so far, and I believe that anybody who has the passion to pursue the challenging but extremely rewarding career of medicine should have the opportunity and tutoring to be able to do so!
A little bit about myself: I took a gap year after finishing college, which I spent mainly working in an A&E department as a healthcare assistant to gain some useful experience. I also took some time to travel through California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah during a road trip through the US which was incredible!
During my first two years at uni, I have tried to balance my time with a bit of surfing, swimming and bodyboarding here and there, as well as some (not always so frequent) gym sessions to get that exercise in.
I really enjoy the outdoors, and anything involving hiking, camping or travelling is right up my alley!
