I completed an AS Level award in English Literature and A Levels in History, Psychology and Art and Design. I then achieved a 2:1 in BSc Applied Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University in 2014. In 2018, I successfully completed a PGCert from the University of Birmingham in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, and in 2021 I qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.
I am a creative-thinking and motivated individual looking for a new challenge to broaden my horizons. I have previously worked as a psychological talking therapist, and I am also a qualified secondary teacher with extensive experience in schools; which has led me to my current role as an SEN tutor for adolescents who are refusing school attendance. My role is to provide them with the emotional support and encouragement needed to return to school, as well as helping them to learn and revise all curriculum material needed to pass their exams. I relish the opportunity to build positive relationships with others, as this is what motivates me, and I love to see meaningful changes which lead to bright futures; as a result of the work that myself and others have put in. I believe that in order to overcome any challenge, the first step is to identify the barriers to change. This requires the development of trusting relationships with students, as well as their parents and key staff members at their enrolled schools. Once these barriers are identified, we are able to collaboratively come up with a tailored plan to integrate students back into school.
A dedicated, experienced Educator and Facilitator with a strong background in project management, report writing, international and digital education. My passion lies in helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve growth and success. With a blend of leadership expertise, coaching skills and planning, I am committed to empowering others to reach their full potential. I maintain enhanced disclosure on the DBS update service for current and prospective roles. I’ve worked in school and online settings, plus developed and delivered programmes. As such, I understand end to end course cycles, assessments and individual learning styles.
Currently I am a Specialist ASC Mentor supporting Autistic Spectrum students online and in person (one to one, weekly sessions). This is highly individual in scope, depending on student needs, also covering academic, social, wellbeing and organisation support.
Outside of tutoring, I have taken part in photography exhibitions in Seoul, mainly of documentary photography and graphic design.
Hello! I am Ruby, an artist, poet and English teacher from London.
I have three degrees; I hold a First Class degree in English Literature from King’s College, University of Cambridge, a Visual Cultures Masters from Goldsmiths and also a Master of Fine Arts.
I am a huge literary and poetry nerd and enjoy feeling out different close readings and linguistic terminology with students. I can help with essay writing, close reading and exam preparation.
I keep up to date with current trends in educational policy and examination styles. I have experience working with teenagers with SEND in secondary schools and am open to all neurodivergent/queer identities.
In my spare time, I am an avid reader of contemporary literature, I attend galleries, spend time in nature and go to the cinema. I have a deep passion for all things cultural and aim to inspire students to find their own creative drives.

Hello, my name is Sneha. I am a recent Master’s graduate in Sustainability with a strong passion for education and environmental science. I have gained valuable experience as a Teaching Assistant at De Montfort University, Leicester, where I supported Architecture Technology students in their coursework, provided guidance on practical projects, and assisted in delivering lectures and tutorials. Additionally, I have guided bachelor’s thesis projects for students in India, helping them develop research skills and critical thinking. I have also conducted interactive tutorials and taught Science, Biology, and Environmental Science to students across KS1, KS2, KS3, and GCSE levels, creating engaging lessons, fostering curiosity, and providing tailored academic support to enhance learning outcomes across diverse age groups.
During my career in the arts, heritage and education sector, I have planned and presented a wide variety of creative and proactive projects. Provision of these projects has required firm organisation and communication skills, cooperation with individuals and institutions, and often having to be resourceful while facing challenging problem-solving situations.
I have developed lessons, workshops and exhibition events within schools and museums as an individual practitioner and as part of collectives and art trails. Working on projects with organisations that have been following wider county-led initiatives has given me experience of working alongside schools’ teams, research teams and volunteers and stewards in a variety of roles, such as outreach and event organisation. This has involved working with children and adults of all ages, of differing educational and social needs, fulfilling a range of learning outcomes, and ensuring the inclusion of those in marginalised groups and communities such as pensioners and carers, and those affected by urban deprivation and rural isolation.
I am familiar with the UK National Curriculum, and am looking to develop my skills within the Northern Ireland CCEA program.
During my professional career I have continually presented and promoted work and projects to a variety of audiences. This has necessitated providing visual and written information for participants, providers and peers across a large spectrum of learning abilities and outcome expectations.
My academic studies have been extensively detail-orientated, and have required a consistent commitment to both independent practice and collaborative working. This work has often been geared towards multiple outcomes, both practical and theoretical, and demands effective use of time management to meet successive deadlines.
In my role as an arts professional, I have had to actively promote events and exhibitions in ways that encourage engagement and promote visibility. I have developed an effective understanding of design and visual communication and of digital and social media practice throughout my work.
