Hi, I’m Fakhir, a welcoming and friendly medical student at IMS Milan (University of Milan) running 3 medical societies and president of the LifeStudy tutoring Society. From my experience, I know how convoluted and difficult the Medicine Application process can be, especially with the strict deadlines we must follow to achieve the outstanding scores necessary to get offers. Through this platform, I will extensively train you to learn and understand the most beneficial techniques needed to tackle the entrance exams to ensure you achieve the best results possible.

I attained 4A*, and 7A grades in my GCSE’s plus A*AA (+A* in my EPQ) at A-level. During my A-levels I sat my UCAT and ranked in the top 10% decile. In the same year I also sat my IMAT exam and ranked in the top cohorts, ultimately deciding to study abroad. Despite that, I received interviews from all 4 medical universities and offers from 3 medical schools.

After my A-levels I sat the BMAT and scored exceptionally well, resulting with an average 6.5. Whilst being a student, I have delivered tutoring lessons on various platforms and have worked with students to guide them on UCAT, IMAT, BMAT and interviews. Hello! I’m Naina, a first-year international medical student currently studying at the University of East Anglia. Hi everyone, my name is Ayesha, and I’m a 3rd year medical student at UEA. I enjoy medicine to no end, and so far, my favourite part has been interacting with patients and learning about conditions through their perspective. I find connecting different symptoms to their pathophysiology interesting, and I also like the variation from day-to-day. This course has also given me lots of teaching opportunities, whether that’s in peer assisted learning as a mentor or as a mock OSCE examiner.

I also appreciate that there’s some amount of skill involved when it comes to eliciting certain signs and I find it very gratifying when I can observe the tangible manifestations of a condition and consequently see improvement in a person’s condition over time with treatment. Through medicine, I wake up to a new challenge every day and have been encouraged to constantly keep evolving and pushing my comfort zone, which has made me develop skills that I would’ve found difficult to practice in the past such as leadership or resilience.

I have rediscovered the importance of a good work-life balance, and strive towards it by making sure to take some time for myself, which can be through reading a nice book, going out for a walk or watching a movie.

Dr. Saleem is a dedicated and passionate scientist and doctor with a remarkable background in medicine and research. He is currently working at University College London, where he focuses on cutting-edge research in nanomedicine, particularly using cationic liposomal antibiotics to fight bacterial infections and reduce inflammation. He has a rich educational background, including an M.Phil. in Nanomedicine, a Master of Science in Critical Care, and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.

Beyond his research, Dr. Saleem has extensive experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate students, helping them understand complex medical and scientific concepts. He has also mentored many students, guiding them through various research projects and helping them develop essential lab skills. His dedication to patient care and his extensive research work make him a valuable mentor and teacher.
