Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. After studying independently for many months during the pandemic and missing GCSEs, I am in a unique position to understand the mental stress placed on high achieving students who have missed large parts of their education; as your tutor I will do everything I can to support you academically and emotionally. Hello! I’m excited to help young learners build confidence and thrive in their early education. I’m currently studying for my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy at Health Sciences University, and I have a strong background in educational development. I completed my undergraduate degree in Educational Studies, where I gained valuable knowledge in child development, learning strategies.

Additionally, I have practical experience as a teaching assistant for one year in Years 1, 2, and 3, where I supported students across a variety of subjects. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and how to tailor lessons to meet each student’s individual needs.

I specialise in Maths, English, and Phonics at Key Stage 1, and I’m passionate about making learning engaging and enjoyable. Whether it’s supporting a child with their reading, phonics, or understanding maths concepts, my aim is to create a positive, supportive, and fun learning environment that helps children reach their full potential.

I’m a doctor and scientist, a graduate of an Ivy League medical school, who have always been passionate about teaching and helping students achieve their maximum potential. My MD alongside my bachelors degrees allowed me to acquire a strong background in a variety of subjects. Since I was a student, I discovered I have a great ability to teach. Colleagues were often approaching me for help given my ability to simplify and deliver knowledge in the most effective manner.

Hello ! I am a multinational (Spanish and British) second year architecture student, currently at Cambridge University, who comes equipped with a highly interdisciplinary background and passion for learning new skills. My interests within architecture are currently enormously varied because the subject itself is so vast! , but primarily lie in museum design and curation, sustainability and bamboo construction, and theoretical discourse on phenomenology and space.

Having been panel interviewed and successful for a number of committee roles and achievements at different scales (Head Girl, university applications… as well as current internship interviews) I am well versed in interview technique and experience. I am able to provide general Oxbridge interview/ mock interviews for humanities subjects as there is a substantial overlap with what I study in my course (particularly geography, history, HSPS, archeology). I specialise in architecture, and have made multiple professional portfolios (and continuously make one every term for my degree), with an eye for detail, and so as well as mock interviews and general advice, I will happily advise in this key area.

I did five A levels, six AS levels, so have been through pretty much most academic scenarios and can provide tips for efficient revision, and efficient time management, in the similar way that worked for me.

My highly interdisciplinary architecture degree also means I am trained in professional presentation skills (persuasive presenting of work at least four times every week to a crowd), graphic skills in rendering, photography and videography, and confidence in all Adobe software. Analytical, academic essays are also a substantial part of the course and I further hone my writing skills writing university articles for the Cambridge Language Collective, Climate Journals and producing graphics for an Arts Magazine.

Hello! My name is Tareef and I am currently a 2nd year student studying at the University of Oxford.
For some context, I attended an underperforming state school for my secondary school (only 25% of students get a grade 5 in English and Maths), yet I managed to achieve the highest results in my school (5 grade 9’s and 3 grade 8’s). Whilst studying for my GCSEs, I found out that tutoring other students also helped me reinforce my learning and I realised I enjoyed helping my peers also succeed by teaching them the trickier concepts on a 1-to-1 basis that they would otherwise have not received.
After my GCSEs, I was fortunate enough to get a full scholarship to my local grammar school, which is where I did my A-Levels – achieving grades of A*A*A*A. The Sixth Form provided great tailored support throughout my Oxford application, and I hope to provide this support to capable students who have not been fortunate enough to receive the same level of support.
