Phoebe
About Me
Hello,
My name is Phoebe and I am a second year undergraduate at Oxford University studying Spanish and Linguistics.
I studied Spanish, Maths, and English Language at A-Level, achieving A*A*A* and winning a school prize for an outstanding contribution to the language faculty. At GCSE, I achieved 11 grade 9s.
I’m most often found in the library, but outside of studying, I enjoy going on long walks through the countryside, playing the piano with my younger sibling, and relaxing with my friends.
I come from a family of teachers and have years of tutoring experience, so my lessons will always be fun, interactive, and most importantly informative. Whatever your academic goals are, I will support you as best as I can.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
NOTE: For English Literature GCSE tutoring, I am familiar with the AQA exam board and the texts Macbeth and Jekyll&Hyde
My teaching style
I am approachable, encouraging, and will always view mistakes as a learning opportunity. I will tailor personal, flexible lessons that suit individual student needs, and I will deliver interesting lesson content in a supportive, motivational, and academically engaging manner.
My past experience
I have experience tutoring English as a second language to two non-native speakers. I taught English grammar alongside literary comprehension and textual analysis. I also have experience delivering translation workshops in local schools.
