About Me
Hello, I’m Freddie! I’m in my final year studying Philosophy at Durham University and sit on the governor board of a secondary school. I have been tutoring for almost three years.
I have both in-person and online experience teaching at A Level, GCSE and Common Entrance (11+ and 13+). I’m an energetic, dedicated tutor that aims to provide a complete exam preparation service. Live sessions are supplemented with notes, revision guides, reading lists, homework and other resources I’ve amassed over years of helping students get results.
I recently achieved a first class mark in my second year exams and am an engaged member across all areas of university life: I hold four committee positions and represent three sports teams.
Before this I was educated at Eton College, where I achieved A*s in Mathematics, Religious Studies and Economics at A-level and won a number of academic prizes. During my lower sixth year, I helped teach weekly computer science sessions at a local secondary school.
I’m also an experienced mentor and will be glad to support pupils with revision strategies/plans and university applications.

My teaching style
I don’t teach by wrote but by building a thorough understanding of the most basic concepts before developing these when the pupil is ready. I find this not only pays dividend when it comes to revision but helps build interest. My lessons are all interactive, tailored and paced according to a plan I’ll write after our first session.
My past experience
I have nearly three years of tutoring experience at various levels.
My Proudest Achievements
I achieved 3x A*s at A-Level (including scoring 100% in one of my Religious Studies papers) and won my school’s premier philosophy competition.
