11About Me
I am Audrey Wong, currently a third year veterinary student at Royal Veterinary College, London. I continued my studies right after graduating high school in 2020 with a diploma of completing the International Baccalaureate programme. I have applied to 4 veterinary schools within the UK and other medical schools or science-based degrees in countries including Canada and Hong Kong. As an international student studying abroad, I understand that there may be a lot of queries when applying to universities outside of your home country and I hope to provide guidance during this difficult phase. I have a background of tutoring secondary students in all subjects and participated in model MMI as an examiner in my previous high school and I wish to carry forward all my knowledge to you/ your kid. I love working with animals but also very passionate in teaching, hence why I decided to join the Medic Mind team. I am caring and very approachable and always will try to stay calm when any issues arise!
My teaching style
As a visual learner, I would wish to teach in an interactive method with my students. To allow as much engagement as possible during our meetings with the aim to build confidence with question-answering skills. I will plan my lessons accordingly and with elements of entertainment.
My past experience
I have past experience tutoring students from high school and as a private tutor outside school. Mainly with science and English subjects. I have experience teaching geography and business studies as well. As a IB graduate, I can also help with EE/TOK essay writing.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is to gain recognition for my IB Extended Essay on Biology, about “Natural Pesticides and Liver Damage”. As the first perfect scorer for EE in my high school, I got to present my findings to a large audience. Given that it was a 1-year project, the feedback and appreciation was very rewarding.
