Scott
About Me
Hi there! My name is Scott, I’m a first year medical student in Exeter. I’m a passionate tutor with an intrinsic motivation to help my students succeed throughout the medicine application process. I find teaching an empowering process and relish the opportunity to help others. There is no better feeling than helping someone transform their raw potential into tangible results. Recently receiving 4 medicine offers from Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff and Exeter, I have a thorough understanding of the difficulties faced in applying for medicine, from GCSEs to Interviews. My vast experience coupled with an enthusiastic and organised approach will help you ‘steady the ship’ in what can be an undoubtedly daunting and turbulent application process! Away from my degree, I’m a passionate rugby player who loves the outdoors, and being in the sea. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions, I look forward to hearing from you soon!😁
My teaching style
I’m proactive, direct and committed. I firmly believe each student deserves a tailor made approach to their subject, and I aim to provide the best, most comprehensive service for each student individually! With consistency and reflection the key aspects of my tutoring, the most productive learning can be done from a point of little to no understanding of a concept, enabling my students to thrive academically, but also become more confident and driven individuals!
My past experience
Previous experience in tutoring mathematics to a range of ages, from Primary School upwards.
