My teaching style

My teaching style is a blend of various strategies and techniques that aim to help students learn accounting and finance in an effective and engaging way. I use the following methods to achieve this goal:

– Coaching: I do not just lecture the students, but I guide them to find the answers by asking the right questions and providing demonstrations and group activities. I believe this helps them develop their critical thinking and creativity skills, which are essential for accounting and finance professionals.
– Adaptability: I do not stick to one teaching method, but I adjust my teaching to the needs and preferences of each class and each lesson. I use different approaches, such as being an authority, a demonstrator, a facilitator, or a delegator, depending on the situation and the learning objectives.
– Results-driven: I work with each student individually to define their goals and expectations from the course. I then design a clear plan for the entire year, with milestones and tests to evaluate their progress regularly. I also choose my teaching methods according to the plan and the ultimate goal of each student.
– Case studies: I use real-world data and scenarios to illustrate how theoretical knowledge can be applied practically. I help students develop their analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as their creativity and innovation. I also foster discussions and debates among students, allowing them to share their opinions, perspectives, and solutions.

– Real-life business: I involve students in running a simulated or actual business in the classroom or online. They experience the various aspects of running a business, such as planning, budgeting, accounting, financing, etc. They also learn from their mistakes and feedbacks, as well as from their peers and mentors. This helps them gain practical skills and insights into the business world.
– Personal budgets: I ask students to create and manage their own personal budgets based on their income and expenses. This helps them learn about financial literacy, such as saving, investing, borrowing, etc. They also develop their financial planning and decision-making skills, as well as their responsibility and accountability.

These are some of the methods that I use to teach accounting and finance professional courses. I believe that by using these methods, I can help students succeed in their exams and careers.
