About Me

I’m a 3rd year medical student at Oxford with experience in tutoring and mentoring students in A level sciences as well as different aspects of the medicine application process. Applying for medicine may seem overwhelming with the many hurdles that have to be jumped and the various skills that need to be honed in order to stand out from the rest of the cohort. As someone who has been through the same journey and found it challenging, I want to offer support and guidance to other aspirants who are keen and passionate to study medicine and feel discouraged by the difficulty of the various aspects of the application. I hope to help students to gain confidence in their own abilities, equip them with skills such as lateral thinking and critical analysis as well as provide them with tips and tricks on how to navigate the medicine application from an insider’s perspective.

My teaching style

I am a friendly, approachable teacher who aims to make the lesson as student-centred as possible. Depending on what the student is struggling with or wants help with, I tailor my lessons accordingly to accommodate to their preferences. I welcome questions and hope to answer and reassure any doubts that may arise, both related to the subject being taught as well as general advice around being a student.

My past experience

I have tutoring experience in A level subjects, BMAT and UCAT as well as personal statement advice. I have taught overseas students as well as home students and guided them through which universities best to choose to fit their goals and give them the best possible chance to get into medicine.

My Proudest Achievements

My proudest achievements are in teaching students and seeing them develop knowledge not only in the subject being taught but also develop necessary skills for life such as problem solving, independent thinking and going above and beyond expectations. Seeing students develop as people is the most fulfilling reward I can achieve for my teaching.
