6About Me
I am a 3rd year undergraduate Radiography student.
I have tutored children with a private company for 2 years + and continued this in sixth form through an internal programme and helped to contribute with their progress.
I am offering Biology lessons and achieved A/B at GCSE and A Level after been stuck at a E. I can help you move up that grade boundary!
Within my lessons, we will discuss what your goals and aims are for tutoring and workout a plan in order for you to achieve your potential. I find this is really important as everyone’s learning style is different.
Our lessons will be adapted to how you best learn, whether that is visually or verbally and more. This is to ensure you get the best out of our lessons together. Going through past papers and mark schemes, breaking them down will be a key part of our lessons.
Helping students is really important for me because I know how it feels when you are disappointed with your grade even when you tried! I just want to share what I learned through my experience with others so their journey can be easier.
My teaching style
My teaching style depends on my student. I will cater to my student’s needs and how they best learn. My main teaching style is incorporating active recall in my lessons as this has been proven to be a effective study technique. A way I could incorporate this is by asking my students questions on the topic we did 2 weeks ago for example this is to encourage for the knowledge to be built on their long term memory.
If my student works best with simplified information, I will cater my teaching style to be as simplified as it can be by using real life examples or by drawing visually. It all depends on how my student best learns.
My past experience
Yes I have tutored for a collection of 5 years altogether. This has been with a private and public institutions and with a different range in age group.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements is helping some of my students who were previously failing to get 6-8’s in their GCSES.
Additionally being able to help a student who had no offers, to prepare for her last university interview and her getting accepted at the university she wished to go to.
