About Me
Hi 🙂 I am currently undertaking a master/ SQE in law in anticipation of starting my training contract at a magic circle law firm in 2024. Previously, I attained first-class honours at university and A*ABB at A Levels. I enjoy reading, traveling, and watching TV in my spare time.
I have been tutoring for 2+ years and have delivered over 750+ sessions in KS3 and GCSE English and Maths as well as A-Level Law. I enjoy helping students attain their target grades, unleash their full potential and increase their confidence.
A motto I like to tutor by is, ‘Learning from a mistake means to identify it, learn from it and not repeat it.’ I encourage students to develop a growth mindset to ensure they are working to develop their skillset and knowledge, which will allow them to succeed both within education and beyond!
Please reach out if you want to chat more about how I can help you/ your child reach their full potential!
My teaching style
I believe the best way to engage with students is to be a friendly and enthusiastic tutor who creates lessons that keep students awake and active! I achieve this by creating lesson plans that spend most of the time with the student working on exam-style questions. This allows me to create a dynamic working style where I can work with the student to identify their mistakes, develop techniques that avoid repeating the same mistake again and ensure they are confident in the topic by the end of lesson.
My past experience
I have 2+ years experience in tutoring both 1-2-1 and group sessions. I have delivered over 750+ tutor sessions with regular students (15+ lessons) attaining a minimum B/6 grade.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is helping a GCSE English student who migrated to the UK in year 10 from Spain move from a level 4 in English to a level 6 in 6 months. I helped the student achieve this goal by creating a monthly lesson plan which covered core content they had missed, exam-style practice questions, and mock tests. Using a mix of presentation, videos and debate-style activities kept the student engaged throughout sessions and allowed them to enter their Year 10 mock exams feeling confident and exceed their target grades.
