34About Me
Hi there, I’m Zain and I am a second year dental student at the University of Manchester. I have been tutoring for three years now and I am most proud of my proven track record of success in the achievements of my students. I was a top 1% scorer in the UCAT exam – in which I achieved a score of 3230. This, along with my interview score allowed me to achieve my first choice university to study dentistry. I also received offers from KCL and Sheffield for dentistry, however my first choice was Manchester. I also applied to the University of Bristol for Medicine and attained an offer. When I’m not studying or working, I love to play 5-a-side football, usually followed by some form of takeaway! I also am keen on playing golf and taking cars to the track. I love getting to know new students and use their past experiences to aid my teaching by giving examples that they can relate to. I am usually flexible on timings and will try my best to accommodate students wherever possible.
My teaching style
In terms of my teaching style, I like to use interactive whiteboards to aid teaching by using diagrams and promote student input. I am confident in using different methods to explain concepts to each student by tailoring it to their experiences and their learning style. I ensure the student understands a concept I have taught by asking questions to reinforce and then further building upon that knowledge base.

I have been tutoring over the past three years both in person and online.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are those of my students, to see their predicted grades rise throughout my time with them. It would also be speaking to parents who see a change in the attitude and grade attainment of their children as a result of our sessions.
