About Me
Hi, I’m Abdullah and I’ve lived in, well, not one place (born Irish and lived there, lived in England and Pakistan and now I’m in London!). Ever since I output my first βHello, World!β statement on Visual Basic in Year 9, I felt rewarded and became interested in programming; considering how minuscule this code is compared to modern applications. As you can probably tell, I’m a second year BSc Computer Science π€ student π . I’ve grown up surrounded by technology and took a keen interest in small tech related stuff like learning copy and paste commands from my dad when I was a kid – nothing too complicated haha. Besides the world of coding, I enjoy swimming πββοΈ (it’s pretty relaxing), playing tennis πΎ, table tennis π, and watching the Pakistan team play cricket π Hopefully we can meet soon, looking forward to teaching you!
My teaching style
I always like to ask students about the topic being taught in order to gain how much they might already know and where the gaps might lie.Β I will then constantly engage with them and get them to solve questions using the relevant board’s past paper questions and help them out wherever they get stuck. I’m always trying to make sessions as engaging and interactive as possible!
In terms of studies, I suggest studying in bits and pieces throughout the year so you can still “chill a bit” near the exam periods. During my O Level (GCSE) and A Level studies, I would study topical past paper questions for the end of chapter tests which meant that I didn’t have to study too much near the end of year exams (just a few years of yearly past papers), it works! By implementing this strategy, I was able to play lots of tennis even during the time of my final A Level exams. Hopefully this helps and I can get to know you better, see you soon!
