About Me
Hi! I’m Natalie, a first-year Economics student at the University of Cambridge. I have achieved A*A*A*A at A Level, and 11 Grade 9’s at GCSE, so I am fully prepared to give you all my top tips and tricks for excelling in your exams. Having just completed the Oxbridge Admissions Process, I am best placed to help with your personal statement writing, entrance exams, interview preparation and A Level grades to obtain and meet your offers. I have a passion for learning and am eager to pass this on to my tutees, with experience in all age groups from KS2 upwards. I fully understand the importance of tailoring each session to your individual needs, and encourage asking as many questions as possible (no such thing as a silly question)! I specialise in Mathematics and Further Mathematics at any level up to and including A Level. Feel free to contact me for more information, looking forward to helping you meet your goals 🙂
My teaching style
My teaching style varies between tutees depending on your unique learning style. It is essential to your personal revision and my teaching to understand whether you learn via, for example, diagrams, writing, or speaking. No matter who I am teaching, my approach is always friendly and engaging and I seek to make real connections with tutees. I want to know your aims, and do everything possible to help you achieve your goals.
My past experience
I have plenty of experience with tutoring a wide range of age groups – the youngest being KS2 focusing on confidence in English and Maths. At GCSE level I have both volunteered as an academic tutor for students from underprivileged backgrounds and taught a variety of subjects including English Language, Mathematics, and Sciences. I have some experience in the 11+ entrance exams, having attended the Henrietta Barnett School, alongside other verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests.
My Proudest Achievements
Academically, my proudest achievement thus far has been my acceptance to the University of Cambridge. Despite the prestige of the institution, my pride comes from reflecting on the endless hours put in to the months-long process, and seeing the results come out of my hard work. I find this same pride in seeing my tutees succeed in whatever their goals may be – from getting into Secondary Schools to achieving their GCSEs. Outside of academia, my proudest achievements are my music endeavours. I have played piano for 11 years so far, and am currently working at ABRSM Grade 8, having obtained multiple distinctions.
