About Me
Hi there! I’m Tia Bhambhaney, a passionate first-year medical student at the University of Central Lancashire. When I’m not buried in textbooks, I love to express my creativity through arts and crafts, belt out tunes (albeit not very well), spend quality time with my furry friend, and indulge in a bit of retail therapy. Originally hailing from Dubai, I understand the unique challenges that international students face when navigating the maze of medical school applications. I feel incredibly fortunate to have secured interviews at 6 different medical schools and received offers from prestigious institutions like UCLan, Brunel, Buckingham, UCC, UoG, and Aston. Each interview was a priceless learning experience that equipped me with essential skills for excelling in medical school. My passion lies in assisting future medical school applicants with their interviews, as I know firsthand the anxiety and pressure that comes with the process. Cultivating confidence and honing interview skills are crucial, and I am dedicated to providing support so that others won’t have to endure the same trials I did!
My teaching style
I believe that every student has a unique learning style. My goal is to create interactive lessons that enable students to express their thoughts while explaining key concepts. I also aim to have discussions with my students to hear their opinions on topics such as euthanasia and abortion and all possible ethical situations. I think this is crucial, especially when addressing ethical issues. Engaging in conversations with students is essential for developing the best possible responses to the ethical questions that medical interviewers may ask.
My past experience
In the past, I haven’t had any tutoring experience in particular. However, there is a center in Dubai where I am located called Tender Hearts. I worked here for a couple of weeks during my winter break and assisted special needs children with recreational activities such as sports and creative arts. I explained instructions for certain activities and believe that this experience has given me skills such as patience, which are ideal for being a tutor.
My Proudest Achievements
Receiving a distinction in Grade 6 RAD Ballet Exam.
