Elizabeth
About Me
Elizabeth is a third year Biologist at the University of Oxford, awarded an Exhibition for her academic performance in Preliminary Examinations. She believes her undergraduate school applications were strengthened by her supercurricular activities surrounding Biology, such as her research report for the Discover Bath Fast Track programme investigating anticancer properties of tropical rainforest plants. She received offers from top universities, including Imperial College London who rewarded her the 2021 President’s Undergraduate Scholarship for students that demonstrate the highest academic excellence and potential. Outside of academics, Elizabeth has a great interest in the arts, with a passion for reading, creating graphics on Photoshop/Canva, and “upcycling” unused clothes to a more fashionable style.
My teaching style
I like to do zoom calls to go through any questions and talk through topics. I believe setting past paper questions and analysing mark schemes is an effective way to revise for GCSE and A-level exams. I am happy to adapt to ways student’s feel they learn best for exams and undergraduate applications.
