Hi! My name is Willow Lloyd Payne, a History graduate from the University of Exeter. I grew up in the United States, completed the International Baccalaureate, completed my undergraduate degree in the United Kingdom, and currently work at the University of Exeter Business School as a Student Experience and Success Mentor. I believe that every student has the potential for top marks, and work hard to make sure student have all the resources and support they need. I have 8 years of childcare and teaching experience, and genuinely enjoy teaching and helping my student achieve their goals. In my free time I enjoy reading, playing board games and exploring the coffee shops and restaurants of my local area. I am a hardworking and competent teacher and I hope that you will consider me for a tutor.
My teaching style
I prefer to work collaboratively with students in order for me to design a teaching program that works for every different individual. I believe a learning plan that balances both creativity and academic learning allows for a well-rounded and better prepared student.
My past experience
Yes, I used to be a tutor in high school for both elementary and middle school students in all subjects. I also have experience working and teaching children as a Programme Director and Counsellor for Beaver Cross Summer Camp for 4 years. My current job involves working with University students teaching study and writing skills.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is moving from the United States to Exeter by myself, and completing my Bachelors degree.
