About Me
I am a Philosophy student at Cambridge University and I am passionate about helping students to gain the opportunity for intellectual enrichment. I believe that anyone ought to experience the joy of learning and seek out their own unique academic interests.
Coming from a state school, I was lucky to have had amazing teaching which landed me at a great university, and it is important to me that everyone feels that they have the tools to be able to do the same. I have assisted teaching for History GCSE students which has taught me valuable skills in teaching. As well, it is very gratifying to see someone’s confidence rise alongside their grades.
I am particularly interested in Philosophy, History, language studies, and Politics. However, I am eager to teach any subject which I have studied because I am able to balance encouragement and challenge in any subject.
My teaching style
My teaching style will involve mini quizzes on basic, memory-recall questions; looking at sources or pieces of text together and spending time comprehending and analysing it; practice questions alongside practising the plan for an answer; use of flashcards, involving homework of creating revision resources.
My past experience
Helped with interview preparation for Oxbridge.
Taught History GCSE students with one-to-one teaching.
Tutored in Philosophy A-Level.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievements are being able to help people to study at Oxford or Cambridge since I have been able to give people the confidence to see that they deserve an opportunity for such an enriching experience, as well as helping students achieve higher grades than they thought they would ever be capable of.
