Pari
About Me
Hi, my name is Pari! I’m an undergraduate student currently studying a degree in Biomedical Science. I love science and that’s why I’ve chosen to study it through GCSE’s and A level’s. I also have a love for literature which is how I received high grades in GCSE English. Personally for me, especially during A level’s having a tutor allowed me to make sure I was understanding everything I was being taught and gave me the confidence I needed to sit my exams.
Often times there will be concepts that we don’t fully grasp after the first time learning it. Unfortunately teachers don’t always have sufficient time to explain every concept in a way each student can understand. This is why I love tutoring. It is personalised to give you a 1 on 1 experience where you can address any aspects you don’t understand. The tutor is then able to explain things further and also give you an alternative perspective on that topic in a way that’s easier for you to understand.
Having recently been through the same exams I have learned lots of tips and tricks both in terms of education and the application process. Everyone learns in different ways and it’s my job to make sure that every student has a learning environment where they can be inquisitive, ask questions and make learning fun!
In my free time I love to read, sing, bake and do spin and yoga classes at the gym.
My teaching style
As each individual student has their own ways of learning and understanding, I try to work with their methods combined with my personal experience to create an open learning environment. Having been through the education system I truly believe in the importance of fully understanding concepts rather than memorising them and then using exam questions to practice applying these concepts. I understand how important it is for a tutor to have patience and understanding so I pride myself with these skills. I always encourage asking questions and active learning!
My past experience
I have experience as both a Tutor and Tutee. I was tutored through my A level’s where I really understood the importance of having that safety net. I have tutored A level Chemistry and Biology as principal of the medical, dentistry and veterinary society in college. I also have experience tutoring GCSE English, Maths and Sciences. Finally I have tutored KS3 English, Maths and Science.
