12About Me
I am a recent Engineering Science Graduate and I am excited to be sharing my knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the 4 years with prospective students. Having had a strong academic track record over the course of my studies so far, I feel that I am in the best position to help others get to where I am today. I am currently quite passionate about the fields including Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Data Science and Software Engineering so this summer I am currently looking to expand my horizons in these directions when it comes to advancing my future career. In my free time, some of the non-academic endeavours I take part in include various sports such as sprinting for the University Athletics Club, being the president of the Oxford Hip-Hop Society and playing the guitar. I am looking forward to tutoring some of you!
My teaching style
I am quite straight-forward and direct when it comes to giving feedback so this will ensure that there are minimal gaps in the student’s knowledge. Despite this however, I will make sure that plenty of room is given to the students to work on the problem as independently as possible.
My past experience
I have previously given mock interviews and helped with admissions tests to students at my old secondary school, one of which going on to get an offer from Cambridge University. I have also worked with InvestIN Education where I introduced Year 11/12 students to the skills required when applying for an engineering
degree such as how to prepare for an interview and how to answer maths/physics questions
relevant to engineering. Additionally, I created a short, complete guide in PDF format that goes through the full Oxbridge Engineering admissions process.
My Proudest Achievements
Some of my proudest achievements include studying for my A Levels while fasting during Ramadan and still going on to do the best in my school grades-wise, running for Fresher’s Varsity for Oxford Athletics and completing my 4th year Master’s thesis.
