About Me
Hello,
My name’s Alex. I studied Economics for 3 years at the University of Bristol and I am now studying Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) at the University of Nottingham. I specialise in teaching A-Level Economics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the medicine admission process, including tutoring for the GAMSAT and the UCAT.
I achieved A*AA at A-level and I was the head scholar in my year at school. I also achieved in the top 10% of candidates for the UCAT and the top 15% of candidates for the GAMSAT, therefore I know what it takes to achieve a good score in these competitive exams.
I love teaching people and seeing their progress over time. I struggled with the GAMSAT and the UCAT especially as they’re difficult exams to prepare for but I feel thorough practice has equipped me for teaching students how to perform well.
My teaching style
Teaching is not a one-size-fits-all profession. I believe in having an adaptable teaching style that caters to the individual needs of the student. Constructive feedback is at the forefront of my teaching style as students need to recognise where they went wrong and how to improve, not just that they are wrong.
