About Me
Hi,
I am currently a first year medical student at Keele University with a previous degree in Law.
I applied to medical school in 2018, during year 13, and was successful in getting three interviews and three consequent offers (from University of Birmingham, Aston University and Leicester University).
Unfortunately, I did not get the right a-level grades to meet the minimum offer. Instead of picking a degree for the sake of getting into Medicine, I decided to do something that actually interested me.
I completed a degree in Law, from Aston University, with a 2:1. During my first year of Law I resat my biology A-level. I have sat the UCAT 3 times (twice for med application, once for fun). Because of my background of numerous applications, I am very familiar with the medicine application process.
My teaching style
Reverse teaching. It’s a lot easier to articulate a concept when you try to teach it to someone else.
Also mistakes are the best way to learn. Completing and getting practice questions wrong and then going over your mistakes helps you retain the knowledge a lot better than just reading and making notes.
My Proudest Achievements
I am very proud of my law degree as well as getting into medical school despite lots and lots of set backs and rejections.
