About Me

Hello, I am a 2nd Year Student at the University of Oxford, reading Materials Science. This subject covers a wide range of STEM subjects, and has allowed to build on my A level studies to grasp a complex and deep understanding of many areas of science. As well as a highly curious scientist I am also passionate about engineering and Materials Science allows me to blend these two disciplines together. I have lots of previous tutoring experience, tutoring Physics, Chemistry and Maths A-Level aswell as a Student for the Maths Admissions Test for Oxford (MAT). This along with my exceptional academic record, places me in a great position to be a lot of help to my clients. Happy to tutor at any level, all the way up to A level Further Maths and university admissions tests. Warm, friendly and highly focused on giving you the best possible results and value for money.

My teaching style

Having recently completed A-Levels myself, I am well suited to explain concepts in multiple different ways and remember what worked for me when I was studying the subjects. I believe this is advantageous as it allows me to structure the lesson and explain things in a way that suits the student as I understand what it’s like to learn the content for the first time. Furthermore I have an extremely deep understanding of the subjects and have strong and flexible problem solving skills that means I can explain advanced concepts in multiple different ways to adjust to the students understanding. I like to structure the lessons in a way that maximises what the student can get out from each lesson. I really focus on building an understanding of the core concepts in the student, which is highly important as it allows the student to apply these concepts to any question thrown their way. I do this buy going through, well picked out questions, with the students that allow me to highlight the most important concepts and strategies for them to know, all done in an interactive way that helps to reinforce it in the students mind.

My past experience

Yes I have lots of experience tutoring A Level Physics, Maths and Chemistry as well as for the Oxford Maths Admissions Test ( MAT ).

My Proudest Achievements

Proudest Academic Achievements would be my performance in the 2023 British Physics Olympiad in which I was awarded Top Gold and then Silver in the next Round. This placed me in the Top 0.5% of Physics A-Level Students across the UK that took the Exam.
Furthermore I was invited among 100 students across the UK after my performance in the UKMT Maths Challenge to attend their summer school.
In terms of A-Levels I was proud to achieve 90% in my Further Maths paper, well above the 76% requirement for an A* and maintained this level in Physics, Chemistry and Maths, achieving well above the A* Grade Boundary.
