Hello!
My name’s Taka, and I’m a recent graduate from Magdalene College, University of Cambridge. I have a strong academic background having ranked in the top three highest performers across the entire University. I read Human, Social, and Political Sciences, specialising in Politics and International Relations.
As for my teaching style, I am results-driven. I know that in the short time we have together during tutoring sessions, you want to make the most of every minute. I will guarantee you that I will come extensively prepared for an effective tutoring session, and make sure to personalise every lesson to your needs. I am also flexible in my teaching style, and happy to accommodate any requests you have.
I also have significant teaching experience. I’ve spent over two years working in admissions tutoring for Oxbridge applicants, politics and IR. I also have 2 months of experience teaching English to Japanese students. Finally, I have volunteered at my secondary school for over four years advising students applying to competitive universities and courses.

Outside of academia, I enjoy cooking, playing tennis, discovering new house music, and hanging out with friends.

My past experience
Over two years working in private tutoring. I prepared and delivered mock interviews in the Oxbridge format and wrote candidates personalised feedback reports. I have also done a lot of tutoring for politics and international relations students of all abilities.
Over four years of experience volunteering at my previous secondary school for students applying to competitive universities and courses. I have done mock interviews, delivered seminars on admissions, and edited personal statements to help you reach your higher educational aspirations.
Over two months of teaching English as a foreign language to Japanese students. I received formal training for this and have been highly recommended for my work.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement would be my academic results. Having attained the highest A Level results in my school, I was admitted to the University of Cambridge. At Cambridge, I ranked in the top three highest performers across the entire University in end of year exams. I was elected as a College Scholar and awarded the College academic prize for my performance.
I worked incredibly hard to achieve these results. But I also worked efficiently too. As your tutor, I would look to share my knowledge and working techniques to help you succeed.
