About Me
Hi!! I am a year 1 medical student studying at University of Exeter. I used to study at Headington Rye School in Oxford for GCSEs and A levels. In GCSEs, I achieved grade 9 for 12 subjects and 3A* and 1A in Chemistry, Psychology, Mathematics and Biology respectively at A levels. For my medical school application, I took the UCAT and achieved a score of 2890 which got me into the top 10%. I received academic scholarship in 2019 and 2020 and received the Academic Leavers’ Prize as well as Miss Cross Science Prize in 2024.
I have always loved teaching and share my experience with other students as I really enjoy seeing other people improve and progress along the way. It would be lovely if I can offer as much help as I can to facilitate this journey. Can’t wait to meet and share loads of study tips with you!
My teaching style
I will ask the students beforehand what content would they like to be covered to begin with so we can go over them at the start of the session. I will prepare relevant questions from easier to more difficult past paper questions to assess for their understanding. Questions are always welcomed!!
My past experience
I worked at a tutorial centre for children as a part-time job teaching them English and Mathematics which helped to develop my passion for teaching and allowed me to share my knowledge to the younger generation. I also volunteered in a learning centre for ethnic minority children to teach them homework which was rather meaningful to me as I really hoped to reduce the language barriers so that they could feel more confident to communicate with others in the society when they grow up.
My Proudest Achievements
Getting into medical school still feels like a dream due to the highly competitive application process but it is all worth it!!
