24About Me
Current 2nd year physics student at University of York with a strong interest in learning and teaching. Very familiar with the different exam boards and content within a wide range of subjects from GCSE to A-level, particularly within Physics, Geology and Maths.
My teaching will focus on understanding fundamental principles underlying a subject and build the student’s knowledge and confidence to maximise success. I have a relaxed approach to mentoring as it’s important to build a good relationship with students for a comfortable environment for their learning. I will concentrate on practice questions tailored to the exam board as well as providing revision material which I personally used to achieve high grades in my own exams.
I have availability as a university student and will create a customised plan of teaching for every student which caters to their individual needs.
My teaching style
My teaching style is relaxed to create a good atmosphere where the students are not afraid to ask questions and be inquisitive. I will create individual teaching plans for every student dependent on the subject, exam board and personality of the student.
My past experience
I have tutored in the past at GCSE and A-level in subjects like Maths and Physics. I mentored in sixth form twice a week to help GCSE Geology students in their upcoming exams and helped them to achieve top grades of 8s and 9s.
My Proudest Achievements
Achieving 7 9s and 5 8s at GCSE makes me proud as I put a lot of work into my revision and it worked out very well.
