12About Me
My name is Melissa. I have just finished the pre-clinical course at Cambridge and will be starting Clinical school in September. I started tutoring maths and english to young children when I was 14 and have been teaching ever since. I now specialise in the medicine application process, maths and science. The competition for medical school is tough and I provide my students with tips I learnt along the way and wish I knew earlier on in the application process. Previous students of mine have gone on to gain offers from Oxbridge and 4/4 medical schools. I am friendly and approachable, and I encourage my students to ask me as many questions as possible. This helps me to tailor my lessons towards individual students, allowing them to gain the most out of our time together. I am also easy to contact for streamlined support at all stages of your application.
My teaching style
I will cover relevant content in an easy to digest way, starting with theory, going through key skills together and relevant tasks which demonstrate the skill. Once I am confident a skill has been achieved, we will move on. I encourage open communication between myself and students in order to tailor our time together towards each students strengths and weaknesses.
My past experience
I started working at a tutoring agency at the age of 14, teaching maths and english. My private tutoring picked up in lockdown where I taught both primary and secondary level maths, english and science. Since starting medical school I have tutored medical school application, maths and science, both privately and through large companies.
