About Me

Hello! I am a 2nd year medical student at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. This may be unusual to some of you reading this, however I can assure you that I can guide you to A* in whatever scientific subject you want? Why? Because I am extremely passionate about the sciences, and acquiring new knowledge on any topic always thrills me. I would love to share that passion and love for science with as many students as I can, because I believe that it is when one truly develops zeal to know something that one unlocks their full learning potential. Mathematics is most definitely my forte, and the cornerstone of my devotion to science, around which I built up Physics, Chemistry and Biology within myself. I took the IGCSE after moving to Nigeria from the UK during my secondary education, and the A-Level after that, and even though I didn’t need them in the long run, I took them purely because of my passion for learning. You see me using the word “passion” a lot, it goes to show how seriously I take it. I would love to go on about science and how inspiring it can be, but that’s enough about me. I look forward to getting to ignite the flame of science within you and helping you achieve your goals in your examinations.

My teaching style

I lay a heavy emphasis on practice. The more you solve practice questions yourself, the more you see what you know and what you don’t about a topic. Then, you go back, revise, and repeat. The second time you go through, you should have mastered some previously known skills and picked up some new ones. This also helps you know the best and worst to expect on exam day and how to tackle any problem thrown at you by the examiner. The accumulation of mastery of each required skill in this way leads to mastery of the whole topic or subject. I have also picked up certain tips and tricks or “hacks” in certain aspects of the exams during my own time sitting these exams, which if used correctly, helps maximise one’s final grade and minimise the habit of knowing something only for an exam and not for future use.

My Proudest Achievements

Definitely either achieving a score of 1560 on the SAT, or winning countless academic competitions with my secondary school.
