22About Me
I am registered nurse with 5+ years NMC experience. I have been a nursing tutor for 2 years and have gained an excellent rapport with students as well as receiving great feedback. My background lies predominately within the private health and social care sector and I have extensive leadership and quality assurance experiences due to managing nursing services. I have experience in and particular interests in chronic disease management, end of life care, urology, emergency care and diabetes management. I support students with a range of academic requirements such as essay writing, report writing, research, OSCEs, exams, calculations and interviews. My aim is to work with students to develop their knowledge and understanding in a particular subject area by devising lesson plans tailored to the students specific needs and learning styles.
My teaching style
I utilise a blend of facilitator and hybrid teaching styles through encouraging self learning and critical thinking whilst focusing on student needs and areas for development. All lessons are student focused and I like to ensure that my teaching styles are based on the needs of the student.
