About Me
Hello!
I’m absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as a potential tutor who is here to support you in your medical school aspirations, GCSE studies, or KS3 journey. I’m Katelen, currently a third-year student at Cardiff Medical School.
What truly sets me apart as a potential tutor is not just my academic achievements, but also my sincere dedication to guiding and supporting fellow students who share the dream of a medical career. I’ve personally navigated the challenges and pressures of the application process and was thankfully successful. These experiences have equipped me with insights, tips, and strategies that I’m genuinely excited to share with you. No question can be too big, too small, or even too silly! I’d like to be there for you through giving you advice on school work, practice questions, personal statements, interview preparations, or even just a general chat!
The path to my current journey began in a state school setting, where my passion for a career in medicine ignited. Throughout my academic adventure, I’ve consistently demonstrated dedication to my studies and achieved results which have led me to where I am now. In my A-levels, I secured results of A* A* A, with an additional A* in my Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). This academic foundation highlights my commitment to excellence and showcases my knack for effective multitasking and project management.
My accomplishments extend back to my GCSEs, where I proudly earned an impressive array of 10 A*s and 4 As. These were a diverse range of subjects and I feel it highlights my versatility and proficiency across different fields of study, a quality I believe is essential for those aspiring to embark on a medical journey.
Beyond the academic sphere, I strongly advocate for holistic development. My active involvement in voluntary and paid work in the NHS and playing in sports teams has cultivated crucial attributes such as teamwork, empathy, and effective communication – all of which are essential for any future healthcare professional.
Your choice of a tutor can greatly influence your path toward a medical career. With my proven track record of academic excellence, personal journey, and a passion for mentoring, I’m confident in my ability to provide the guidance and unwavering support you need to excel in your pursuit.
Thank you for considering me as your potential tutor. I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity to collaborate and contribute to your achievements.
Warm regards,
Katelen

My Proudest Achievements
Firstly, securing a spot at my preferred medical school was a major milestone that required dedication and perseverance. It’s not just about getting in; it’s a reflection of the countless hours spent studying, the challenges faced head-on, and the passion that fueled my pursuit. This achievement is a validation of the hard work invested in pursuing my medical career.
Equally noteworthy is the honor of being chosen as head girl at my high school. This role was more than just a title; it was an opportunity to demonstrate leadership and contribute positively to the school community. It was a humbling experience to be trusted with this responsibility, and it encouraged me to strive for excellence in everything I did.
Both of these accomplishments serve as constant reminders that determination and dedication can lead to incredible outcomes. They inspire me to keep pushing boundaries, taking on new challenges, and continuously striving for excellence in all my endeavors.
