2About Me
Hey my name is Dr. Amanda Noel and I would love to be your USMLE tutor. I am from Trinidad and Tobago and studied at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad. Over the past 4 years I have completed Step 1 (2020) – 250, Step 2 (2021) – 278, Step 3 (2024) – 263 and I will be applying for Internal Medicine residency next year. Currently I am taking a gap year to do some medical research, volunteer, and gain US clinical experience. I have enjoyed teaching my friends during medical school, helping them pass their exams. I am passionate about medical education, as I believe sharing my knowledge with everyone around me, improves the quality of patient care, leading to better outcomes. I would love the opportunity to tutor you and guide you towards achieving the USMLE scores you desire.
My teaching style
I teach by doing questions with you online, from a question bank of your choice (I prefer UWorld and Amboss). As you go through the question, I ask relevant questions so I can see what you know. I explain what is going on so that you can understand how to approach the question and then I guide you through the options. Once the question is answered and we go through the official explanation, I help you cross reference it with other resources such as First Aid, so that you can build on your knowledge.
My past experience
Throughout medical school, I have taught my friends in my year group and the years below, helping them to pass their exams (sometimes even getting the highest in their class)

My proudest achievements are my Step 2 and Step 3 scores.
