10About Me
My name is Giulia, I am a third-year medical student at St George’s University of London.
I had a 4/4 interview offer success rate for medicine. I have experience with multiple mini-interviews (MMI), working for the MedEd Society at St. George’s University of London. I can assist with asking questions and also giving feedback on relevant topics. Additionally, my experience as a third-year medical student, allows me to give relevant and appropriate feedback and tips to students.
I obtained my IB diploma in 2021, with history, biology and chemistry as my higher levels, all of which I achieved a grade of 6. My extended essay was also on history. I have experience in teaching higher-level IB biology. My current experience in medical school also allows me to assist students with a higher knowledge of the sciences.
My UCAT score was in the 8th percentile, scoring 800 in abstract reasoning.
It would be my pleasure to help any students looking for help with their application process for medical universities, such as MMIs, personal statements and UCAT exams. I am also more than happy to assist students with their IB biology as I have been a student myself.
My teaching style
My teaching style varies from student to student. However, as a starting point for each lesson I like to have an idea of the student’s understanding of the subject, asking them to explain what they can to me and asking questions. From there I can have a better idea of what to focus on throughout the lesson and how to make it more beneficial for the student. I like to make lessons interactive and give students a different explanation of subjects.
My past experience
I have experience with mock MMI, both as an interviewer and as someone who gives feedback.
I also have experience in writing UCAT questions, which allows me to have a thorough understanding of the exam and give good tips to students. Additionally, I have experience with assisting children in English and IB students in biology.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements was getting into medical school and being able to get through each year as this is a demanding and time consuming course.
