Rosie
About Me
Hi, I’m Rosie Fox, a dedicated Psychology graduate (First Class Honours, Liverpool John Moores University) now pursuing an MSc in Occupational and Organisational Psychology at the University of Liverpool. With an outstanding academic foundation, including 12 GCSEs graded A* to A, I bring a proven track record of excellence to my tutoring. My warm, approachable style, shaped by leading student societies as President and Vice President, supporting adults with brain injuries at Headway Wirral, and mentoring young people as a Girl guiding UK Volunteer Leader from childhood through to university, allows me to create engaging, tailored learning environments that inspire confidence and success. My experience in fast-paced roles at Burger King and Aldi has honed my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and keep sessions focused and productive. Whether you’re aiming to boost confidence or excel in exams, I’m here to guide you with enthusiasm and care. I’m excited to help you achieve your academic goals!
My teaching style
As a tutor, my goal is to empower students to truly grasp concepts and confidently apply them to diverse problems, rather than simply providing answers. I take a creative, intuitive, and adaptable approach, tailoring each session to the individual’s needs and learning style. Whether it’s using vivid, real-world examples, crafting engaging diagrams, or sparking curiosity with thought-provoking questions, I make complex ideas accessible and fun. My experience as a Psychology graduate (First Class Honours, Liverpool John Moores University) and my work mentoring young people through Girl guiding UK and Headway Wirral has taught me how to foster critical thinking and build confidence in every learner. By creating a supportive, interactive environment, I encourage students to develop their own problem-solving skills, ensuring they leave each session not just with answers, but with a deeper understanding and a sharper, more independent mind.
My past experience
Not officially. The closest thing I have to teaching is volunteering with girl guiding throughout my high school and sixth form years. This would involve working with younger girls aged 4-14 and helping the leader run sessions either through 1 on 1 support or by leading a group.
